The new SR-system BB-X family incorporate a lever-brake system that combines with the anti-reverse to provide exceptional power and control during the fight. Additional drag can be applied by squeezing the lever-brake, whilst the multi-disk front drag can be pre-set to prevent line breakage when excess pressure is applied. Unusually for a front drag reel, the spools also incorporate a pushbutton release that means the spools can be loaded with line and the drags pre-set for quick change.
